Fluid-system bacteria can often found in slick waters, fracturing fluids, polymeric drilling muds, and completion and workover fluids, and can be detrimental to the functioning of well treatments. This bacteria, which ranges from algea and slime-forming bacteria to sulfate-reducing bacteria, must be treated with effective bactericides.
